With dad from Brooklyn and mom from Tennessee, it’s no wonder Jerry felt an immediate affinity for the unique combination of city & country of the historic towns and villages along the Hudson River. While working in NYC as a designer of advertising, theatre and film, he was always yearning for the region’s mountains, lakes, rivers and trees.
After years of upstate visits to recharge and re-inspire, when Jerry’s husband Tony needed to relocate to the area for work, the pair was thrilled to find an adorable colonial in the charming Rondout district of Kingston to restore and finally call their own. Jerry is so enamored with the town and surrounding area, that he’s decided to turn his creativity & decades of communications experience toward his new home and community by helping others find theirs.
Jerry is a graduate of Duke University, loves all animals (partial to pugs and pitbulls), speaks French, bakes perhaps too often, and relaxes behind the potter’s wheel. He’s documenting his adventures in Kingston including all the cool art, architecture, antiques, places, food & faces he finds along the way @longlivekingston on Instagram.
