Kathy embodies the creative lifestyle we love to talk about so much here at Gary DiMauro Real Estate. Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, Kathy nurtured her creative skills at Drexel University, Moore College of Art, Parsons School of Design and the New York Restaurant School. She became a clothing & fabric designer in New York City, and had a little catering and specialty cake business on the side. And even though she’d travelled all over the world (London, Paris, Rome, Florence, St. Tropez, Israel, Hong Kong, Tai Wan, India, Indonesia), it was the Hudson Valley that stole her heart. Looking for a new creative energy and quality of life, Kathy moved to Columbia County in the late 1980s as a weekender, totally enamored of the locovore lifestyle and the movement towards Green Living. Her love for design and architecture, both old and new, led her to make Columbia County her home and eventually to real estate. She’s been an invaluable member of the Gary DiMauro Real Estate family since 2003. Kathy especially enjoys connecting people with homes that fulfill their dreams. She lives in an 1880′s farmhouse on the Taghkanic Creek surrounded by apple orchards and conservancy land in the quiet hamlet of Glenco Mills. She now uses her design skills in her fabulous garden, tending to her dahlias, peonies and heirloom vegetables.
