Spring Home Sales On The Rise

Existing-home sales rose 4.3 percent in January 2012 to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.57 million, marking the third gain for home sales in the last four months, according to the National Association of Realtors.

Mortgage rates at an all time low!

Week ending 12/16/11 – The average interest rate on a 30-year fixed mortgage this week was back at record lows of 3.94%. That’s the 3rd time in history that fixed rates fell below 4% and each occurrence took place this year alone. That’s a pretty astonishing statistic. 2011 will go down in history as the “perfect storm” of real estate; where “cheap money” met “depressed prices”. We say seize the opportunity.
