• Mercato-Osteria & Enoteca
  Red Hook. Truly authentic and incredibly delicious Italian fare. Chef Francesco Buitoni (ciao Francesco!) is seventh generation from the famed Buitoni pasta family and “grew up in an environment where eating is breathing and food is air.”  Seasonal, local, comfortable and impossible to beat.
• Swoon Kitchenbar
  Hudson. A fabulous neighborhood brasserie.
• Gigi Trattoria
  Rhinebeck. Italian-Mediterranean. Try the skizzas. Sophisticated and casual, perfect before or after a movie at Upstate films.
• Le Petit Bistro
  Rhinebeck. The best French restaurant in the Valley. Warm and intimate.
• Luna 61
  Tivoli. You don’t have to be vegetarian to love the delicious organic & locally-grown cuisine at this lovely village spot. Dine outside on the charming front patio. Our faves: any of Chef Peter’s Asian noodle dishes, Chef Debra’s Sunday Brunch, the Yard Salad, Galaxy Roll, and the desserts (especially the banana cream pie) are to die for!
• Madalin’s Table
  Tivoli. The huge wraparound porch is the place to be for enjoying a cocktail, dining al fresco, and enjoying the country social scene on a warm evening.

Hotels & Lodging

• Ham House
  Tivoli. Just go to this website and look at the photos. You won’t find a more spectacular place to stay in the Hudson Valley. The proprietors, Michiel & Monique, will make your every wish come true at this at this stunning 1850′s Italianate mansion. For short stays, long stays, weddings and events.
• Madalin Hotel
  Tivoli. Beautifully renovated boutique hotel in a circa 1909 historic landmark.

Shopping

• NoSugar
  Rhinebeck. The most fabulous clothing boutique for Women & Children. Our friend Monique brings her incredible style to the Hudson Valley. And the children’s and baby clothing are sophisticated and not too sweet (hence the name), with many unique brands from Europe. There’s no need to look like a country bumpkin in the country.
• Joovay
  Rhinebeck. Sexy lingerie (the only Hudson Valley store to carry La Perla), scrumptious loungewear, and the finest of fine things for women.
• Fabulous Yarn
  Tivoli. A great little knitting store (right next to our office) with lots of organic and hand-painted yarns, hand-made wooden needles and a good selection of knitting books.
• Warren Kitchen & Cutlery
  Rhinebeck. Chef’s-quality resource for cooks, and anyone setting up a new house or upgrading their kitchen equipment. Great cooking classes.

• Phantom Gardener
  Rhinebeck. All your organic gardening needs, with a great selection of plants, and a super friendly staff.
  

Farm Markets

• Black Horse Farms
  Athens. The place to find farm stand produce, fantastic fruit pies, plants, trees and nursery items. Chelly can tell you which plants the deer won’t eat.
• Rhinebeck Farmer’s Market
  Rhinebeck. The premier Hudson Valley farmer’s market on Sundays 10am-2pm, Memorial Day through Thanksgiving. Great produce, organic meats, and a bustling social event.
• Montgomery Place Orchards
  Red Hook. The charming roadside farm stand on the edge of the Montgomery Place historic site. Absolutely the finest local fruits and vegetables, most grown right there at the historic farm.
• Rusty Tractor Farm Market
  Online.  Our dear friend Lisa (a Gary DiMauro alumnus), created this fabulous online version of a farm market. Great artisanal cheeses, organic meats, baked goods, gift baskets and pantry items, all sourced from local farms and packaged with country charm. Place your online order, pick it up at the designated pickup location, or have it delivered directly to your door.
